Catching up!

So I haven't done a blog post in a while and if you weren't already aware from my other blog post's I was on holidays in Magaluf, Majorca. The post holiday depression has been hitting me hard the last few days. From being surrounded by 5 other girls for the last 8 days to being on your own takes it's toll on you. Not to mention the whole alcohol withdrawals.

If you told me in the morning that I had to go back I would be gone in a heartbeat.

On our first night there we got in at half 9 local time and we went straight to our apartment to get ready for the first night in Magaluf. The first thing we were greeted with was rain. Now we had just left the scorching heat of Dublin (something that doesn't happen too often) so you can imagine to our dismay at having it rain on us while we sat down to have our first drink. Thankfully it didn't last too long. So the holiday was a typical     girls holiday, we drank too much, meet some boys, lay by the pool, may by the beach, fought, laughed so much and it the photographs, videos and free t-shirts weren't enough i have something that will remind me of them 5 crazy girls forever. And ever. Because this thing is never EVER leaving me.

Yes folks, I got a tattoo.

Some of the other girls got tattoos ranging from monkeys to ahem Story horse? But at the end of the day they are all on our arse's and they are not going to be on show too often. So a week on since I got it, and any regrets? Not one bit. Yes I had drink on me when I got if, I laughed the whole way through it but at the end of the day its healing fine and if I had to do it all over again I wouldn't hesitate.

We all had a great time and the tan is keeping me happy for a while anyway.

I wish I had chosen to work abroad this summer but I am defiantly one hundred and ten percent looking to go away next year working anywhere with some sunshine.

Now I'm either off to bingo or off to sit in front of the telly. The stress of my life, I know!!! ;)

Summer Loving, happened so fast...

                                                                       Summer......

Hair gets lighter. Skin gets darker. Water gets warmer. Drinks get colder.
Music gets louder.  Nights get longer. Life gets better.

Summer is finally here! Exams are over, schools are nearly finishing up and today the sun has FINALLY decided to grace us with it's presence!

There isn't a cloud in the sky and Facebook is full of happy 'sun-filled' statuses. I was more than happy getting out of bed today considering the weather is on the up-side. It's been a while since I blogged but that hasn't meant that I haven't had time to shop. Penny's has been hit several times, and it will probably be hit one more time before I set off next week.

Next Friday me and five other of my friends are heading to Magaluf in Majorca and considering the bad weather lately it has made the need for a holiday at an all time high. But this good day of sunshine made me want to share all some of the holiday clothes ( and jewellery etc etc...) that I have purchased over the last few weeks.

'Life is to short to wear boring jewellery'

'Put your sunglasses on, because you ain't going home till the morning comes'

'I have too much swag with these socks and sandals' said no one ever.

'We like short shorts'

'You know you're a 90's kid when....'

These tops were only 2 in pennys so I picked them up in three different colors!!!

So there is some of the clothes that I have gathered in the last few weeks. I have several of the same         tops but in different colors but I didn't feel the need to include them. I cannot wait to get away next week and wear all my new summery stuff. Now I am off to enjoy this nice weather that we are having because without a doubt it will probably only last a day or two. :)

Hope everyone is having nice weather wherever you are

Better Late Than Never...

So it has been a while since I've posted anything on this because of my college exams. Let's just say that I am so happy to see the back of them and FINALLY summer is here, even though the weather says otherwise, but less then four week's until I see proper sunshine!

It's 8 o'clock on a Sunday and I have been in my pj's all day because I did NOTHING. I am so tired,  I was out Friday night to celebrate being finished and had to come home Saturday morning with zero sleep to work a ten and half hour shift. So I feel very drained today! I still have lot's of unpacking to do but I have plenty of days ahead of me to do that.

So because I finally got to have a day of doing nothing since I got this I decided to use my new Barry M 'Gelly' nail polish in Greenberry. It's part of their spring collection and it has an extra glossy finish and long lasting chip free. I seen these in Boots for something like 8 and then I went to River Island and they had a few color's so I said why not. The nail polish I got was 5 but the other color's they had were only 4 (which is pretty good for BarryM). I wish I had picked up some more while I was at it! The color is so bright and it just makes me happy when I see it :)

Because I had zero things to do all day I got round to learning how to do a fish tail braid in my hair. I have wanted to learn how to do one for ages and thought I  would never get the hang of it. The photo below is my first attempt at it, I messed up in the middle BUT I don't think it's too bad. All I did was you tube the billon videos that are out there and once you know how to start it, it's fairly straight forward.

So my lazy Sunday is nearly over and it's the strangest feeling sitting still not heading back to Galway on a for College, no assignments to do or exams to study for. It's quite a scary feeling and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. But who know what the summer has in store or where I 'll be this time next year!

                                                                 On-wards and upwards!
                                                                        Happy Sunday!

So I went to Pennys...

So I was in town today and I decided to pop into Penny's (Primark). And as every girl knows you can't just go into Pennys or walk through it without picking something up, it's just impossible!
Exactly 6 weeks from today my friends and I will be leaving for Magaluf  :)
I've been dying to go holiday shopping since we have booked it but I have been busy with college and exams. But today I could not resist :) There was a million and one things that I wanted but I settled and just picked up two bikinis, already excited :) EKKK!

These two bikinis I purchased came in separate top's and bottoms which is way better then the sets that are let's say 8 on top and  8 on bottom, because usually people differ on top and on bottom which ends up with people swapping different tops and bottoms and it just leaves it messy. So I was happy to see these two not in a set but separate.

                                                                                  Top: 7
                                                                               Bottoms: 5

Top: 8
Bottom: 5

I really like both patterns, they are something that I usually wouldn't go for, my previous bikinis were plain. But this year I decided against my boring old ways and to try something new :) The only downside that I have with the gold one is the bottoms are very low in the front and as I do not suffer from "a beach body" I feel that I may be a little self-conscious in them but I have six weeks to sort that out ;)

There wasn't a great selection in the Penny's in my town, Ireland I feel never get's as nice things as let's say England. Even bigger city's in Ireland like Dublin get better stock than the smaller one's, because of this there was a lot of bikinis that I already had from last year.
Here are a few that I picked up last summer.

The two bikinis above I purchased in a set for 12 last year. I didn't think that they would be any good size wise or look good on, but I have to say I LOVED the polka dot one on. I even switched around the bottoms  pairing it with either purple or red!

This was a last minute purchase at the check out for 3.50 they are by far the best lashes that I have used, LOVE them.

As we are speaking of summer I decided to show some summer color nail polishes that I love and after the dark colors of winter it is nice to be able to use these again :)

Lavender Cupcake, Bubblegum Pink, Lemon, SpectaculART.

So I'm sure in the next few weeks I will be making a number of purchases, both online and in stores :) Can't wait to see what they are :)  Anyone going anywhere nice this summer? or has anyone any good website for summer clothes?

Have a great weekend :)

"This diamond has so many carats it's almost a turnip"

“Costume jewelry is not made to give women an aura of wealth,
but to make them beautiful” - Coco Chanel

So in my usual fashion of do everything BUT study I decided to tackle the mess that is was my Jewellery box. Someone gave my mum a gift set of smelly showery essentials and I was left with the box. I don't know what I did before I got this box because it contains it all, in one tangled messed up pile and it has a clasp so i can lock it up if I'm taking it anywhere.

I go through my fazes. One minute I don't wear any Jewellery on my arms or ears, just one or two rings. The next I have twenty billion (slight over exaggeration)  teeny bracelets shoved on one arm. So as I was cleaning them and un-tangling them I decided to take some photo's to show what kind of Jewellery I had.

                                                                               "A la mess"

"I wear my heart on my sleeve"

"Present, heart, twenty-one, awkward turtle"

"So little time, so much to do"

                                                                       "Gold and Silver"

Statement Necklaces are a key item to have in everyone's jewelerry collection. These three I picked up from Penny's (Primark). The two gold ones were around 5 euro which the shoe horse silver necklace I got for 3 euro.

"Charmed I'm sure"

These four charm bracelets are oldies but goodies. The one on the far right is my mothers and she had it when she was a little girl. I think it is amazing that it was still kept and it has the most random little charms, there was one I couldn't figure out for ages but I soon realized he was part of the Disney community, it was Donald ducks head(!?). I tried to get a photo but as it was so small it wouldn't focus properly.

"Heart to Heart"

"Kiss me"

"Ring-a-ding-ding"

"You can always tell what kind of a person a man really thinks you are by the earrings he gives you"
                                                                                                                                               Audrey Hepburn

So that is all the bits and bobs I had lying around in that box. There was some random pieces but I thought I would keep it to the plain and simple ones.
I can't wait to hit Penny's (Primark) and River Island for my holiday bit's. I plan on buying a lot more statement necklaces, rings and little simple bracelets to get me through the summer.

(also random fact, in the USA they spell it Jewlery, while in the UK it's Jewellery. I am from neither and I call it the latter, oh well!!

Happy Monday!
